The Old Post Office Holiday Cottage is situated in Argyll, Scotland, in the quiet village of Clachan on the Northwest side of the Kintyre Peninsula, situated approximately 11 miles South of the fishing town of Tarbert and 27 miles North of Campbeltown via a scenic coastal drive
It is a Self Catering Holiday Cottage, sleeping up to four persons in 2 first floor double bedrooms. The spacious open plan lounge has a multi fuel stove, TV and DVD player and offers comfortable seating. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with an eight burner cooker with 2 ovens, a microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The shower room, with toilet, is situated on the ground floor.
Outside there is on road parking for two cars and a well established garden with a burn running through, and raised decking areas with plenty of room to relax.
The Village of Clachan is believed to be one of the oldest villages in Kintyre and is home to the Old Church, which is surrounded by the carved stones of the Chiefs of the Clan Alasdair. It lies on the Kintyre Way (section 2 – Claonaig to Clachan, 10 miles) which runs the length of the Kintyre Peninsula. The route starts in Tarbert and finishes in Dunaverty near Southend - a total distance of 87 miles. It is situated close to the ferry terminals for Islay, Gigha and Arran and the Cowal Peninsula.
